Frequently Asked Questions

How long do veneers last?
With proper care and maintenance, veneers can last for many years. However, like natural teeth, they can be damaged by habits such as teeth grinding or biting on hard objects. Regular check-ups at Lotus Dental Studio will ensure that your veneers remain in top condition.
Do veneers hurt?
The veneer process is generally very comfortable. For porcelain veneers, the small amount of tooth preparation is done under local anaesthetic so you won’t feel anything. Most patients find composite veneers completely painless as no anaesthetic is needed.
Will veneers look natural?
Yes — a key part of the design process is ensuring your veneers complement your natural teeth in terms of shade, shape and size. Our goal is always a result that looks great and feels like your own smile.
Are veneers suitable for everyone?
Veneers are a versatile treatment that can be suitable for many people. However, they may not be the best option for everyone. During your consultation at Lotus Dental Studio, we will assess your oral health and discuss the best treatment options for you.
Can veneers be removed?
Porcelain veneers are considered a permanent treatment because a small amount of enamel is removed during preparation. Composite veneers involve less or no tooth preparation and can sometimes be removed. We’ll discuss this fully during your consultation.
How do I look after my veneers?
Care for veneers just as you would your natural teeth — brush twice daily, floss regularly, and attend your routine check-ups. Avoid biting hard objects (ice, pens, nails) and if you grind your teeth, a night guard may be recommended.
